SolusVM Introduces Options For Non-default Kernels
This month SolusVM has implemented two new options for running non-default kernels. This is a big improvement over hacking the vm*.cfg or implementing custom hooks to override the default kernel. At Stacklet we have begun the process of testing the new options and describing their suitability to each SolusVM template we distribute here.
Please start by reading these two wiki entries from Solus:
Xen PV Custom Kernel per Template
PyGrub
Now that you've got the basics take a look at our page on the new techniques:
Running Non-default Kernels On SolusVM Templates
Currently all of our Solus templates will run using the default kernel or using one of the new advanced options. Some of the templates already support all three possibilities (eg CentOS 5.5).
