Notes
- We are using /dev/xvda1 for the root device instead of /dev/xvda -- mkinitrd in the image seems to work better with the former than the latter.
- Root logins are enabled in /etc/ssh/sshd_config
- hvc0 has been added to /etc/inittab and /etc/securetty
